Rent Our Exhibition Space – centrally located 

Are you an artist looking for a beautiful and inspiring space to showcase your work? Our charming, heritage-listed gallery is available for weekly rentals from Friday to Friday and with the option to book multiple consecutive weeks.

Centrally located in the courtyard at Svartbäcksgatan 23, you'll find the Gallery in Uppsala, Sweden. The gallery is housed in early 20th-century buildings, featuring wooden beams and brick walls that add charm and character. Surrounded by cultural landmarks like the Linnaeus Garden, the Fyris River, cafés, and restaurants, the area offers a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere.

Located in a culturally significant building, the space offers approximately 100 square meters, ideal for exhibitions, installations, and creative presentations. The gallery includes a simple kitchenette and toilet, providing basic amenities for you and your guests.

Whether you're planning a solo exhibition, a group show, or an extended display, this unique venue offers the character and flexibility to bring your artistic vision to life.

What’s Included in the Rental?

We offers more than just a beautiful exhibition space, we provide support and visibility to help make your exhibition a success. When you rent our gallery, the following is included:

The Space

• Exclusive access to the 100 sqm gallery from Friday to Friday

• Located in a charming, heritage-listed courtyard building with brick walls and wooden beams

• Equipped with basic exhibition tools: wall hanging system, tables, pedestals

• Gallery lighting optimized for art displays

• Toilet and a small kitchenette with fridge, coffee maker, kettle, champagne and water glasses, plates, bowls, cutlery, and a wine opener
  

Staffing and Access

• Daily staff presence afternoons during the  exhibition week

• Secure key for flexible hours outside public opening time

Promotion

• Exhibition featured on our website with images, artist text, and visitor information

• Posts on our Instagram and Facebook channels before and during the exhibition

• Inclusion in our monthly newsletter (if booked in advance)

• Promotion in local cultural calendars and online community groups

Support

• Exhibition setup guide and assistance on the first day if needed

• Templates for posters or invitations (digital format)
  

Sales

• Artists manage their own sales, with optional support for Swish or card reader setup

• No commission taken, 100 percent of sales go to the artist

Optional add-ons such as workshops, artist talks, or listing works for sale on our website can be arranged upon request.

Pricing and Booking Terms

Rental Price

• Weekly rental (Friday  to Friday ): SEK 8000

• Discounts may be available for multi-week bookings or non-profit projects

Booking Process

• To request a booking, please check availability via our online calendar and submit your inquiry through the contact form or email

• A signed rental agreement is required to confirm your reservation

• A security deposit of SEK 1500 is due upon confirmation and will be refunded after the exhibition if the space is left in good condition

Payment Terms

• Full rental fee is due no later than 14 days before the start of the exhibition week

• Payment can be made by bank transfer or Swish

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made more than 30 days before the start of the rental period will receive a full refund

• Cancellations made 15–30 days before will receive a 50% refund

• No refund for cancellations made less than 14 days before the rental period

Responsibilities

• The artist is responsible for installing and taking down the exhibition

• The space must be left clean and in the same condition as it was received

• Any damage to the space or equipment may result in deduction from the security deposit
